This adventure is perfect for those who wish to enter the archaeological and cultural treasures of the area in a short time, includes a 7-day hiking activity along the road from Choquequirao to Machupicchu. It is one of the little known routes in the world, but that is gradually becoming known for its majesty, those that are specified in a spectacular combination of mountainous landscapes, cloud forests and forests, mysticism, spiritual healing and Inca knowledge will be rewarded.This adventurous and spiritual immersion is perfect for those who wish to enter and experience the archaeological, cultural and spiritual treasures of the Andes of the Peruvian Sacred Vally. You will experience an 11-days mystical hiking tour from Choquequirao, translating from Quechua as the ‘Cradle of Gold’ to the majestic Machupicchu, which houses the remains of an ancient and fascinating lost city of great spiritual and cultural value. You will hike among a spectacular combination of mountainous landscapes, forests and mystical places, you will do practices for spiritual connection and growth, like Kundalini Kriya Yoga, pranayama and meditation, and you will experience the healing and awakening power of the natural Inca medicine San Pedro, which opens up and refines your vision, your perception, your connexion with the elements and align you with your self and your life purpose.
This retreat is not just a journey through the sacred lands of the Incas, but a path within, offering a perfect blend of spiritual practices, cultural immersion, nature exploration and selfdiscovery.
Day 1: Arrival and acclimatation in Cusco, visit to the Temple of the Moon.
12 pm – Arrival in Cusco and meeting at our hotel (Hotel Darenso, Cusco). We can pick you up at your hotel/hostel or at the airport in the morning. There will be some time for accommodation and to acclimate to the new place (Cusco is 3.399 m of altitude). A welcome drink with local herbs and fruit will be served.
1 pm – Lunch.
2.30 pm – Visit and offerings at the Temple of the Moon in Cusco. Our Yachaq y curandero (shaman) William Huaman will lead a ceremonial offering with coca leaves to initiate the group and the beginning of the mystical journey. Master Ria will lead a meditation to correct your spiritual and subtle energies and to align with the four directions.
6 pm – Dinner at our hotel in Cusco.
Day 2: Cusco – Cachora – Capuliyoc – Rosalina Beach. First San Pedro Ceremony.
Hours walking: 6 hours.
3-4 am -The trip starts at sunrise leaving the city of Cusco by car or bus. The first destination is the town of San Pedro de Cachora (2.850 m), located in the Curahuasi district; from the mentioned place the whole journey is done on foot, the Cachora stream is crossed and ascends through an eucalyptus forest and native vegetation to the Capuliyoc observation post (2.800 m), where we meet the muleteers who will transport the heaviest belongings on mule backs. Our mules are cared, well treated and properly fed. We will have a light take-away breakfast along the way. We continue along the road until we reach a viewpoint from where you can see the Apurimac river, whose course has formed the Apurimac Canyon, which is considered the deepest in the world. After this point, we must contemplate that our spiritual adventure begins with the Choquequirao sanctuary as our first main destination. We also meditate on Apu Salkantay and other sacred mountains in the surrounding area, so that they can guide us on our path with harmony, peace, love and understanding.
10-11 am (half of the way) – You will do a cleansing bath with cold waters from the mountain before the plant ceremony. Then, our Yachaq y curandero (shaman) William
Huaman will make a ritual offering asking permission to Mother Earth (Pachamama). After that, you will experience the first Wachuma (San Pedro) ceremony, as the Incas did in the past on this sacred path. There will be no lunch today, you will fast during the medicine ceremonial time. We descend to the Apurímac River along a zigzagging path, between bushes, diverse vegetation and a forest of native trees called Phaty. Then, we will reach the first camp of Playa Rosalina (1.550 m).
3 pm – There will be a harmonization meeting and an offering to the Pachamama.
5 pm – Dinner and time to rest and sleep.
Day 3: Rosalina Beach – Marampata.
Hours walking: 5-6 hours. The distance to be covered on the third day is approximately 12 km and it takes five or six hours. The gradients vary from flat to very steep.
7.30 am – Kundalini Kriya Yoga for cleansing and purification with Ria Kundalini.
9 am – Breakfast.
10 am – We will have two minutes of silence to give thanks for our day and leave the camp to cross the bridge over the Apurímac After climbing a hill, we will reach Santa Rosa (2.095 m), where we can take a refreshing break. We continue upward, heading to Marampata (2.850 m), a flat area where we can rest at the second camp of the trip, enjoying a splendid view of Choquequirao. At Marampata, we will have our take-away lunch and we will make an offering to Mother Earth and we will enjoy a moment of purification and spirituality, accompanied by the scenic beauty of the place.
5 pm – Dinner. At the Marampata camp, there are bathrooms and showers for relaxing before spending the night and preparing for the next day, which will take us to Choquequirao.
Day 4: Marampata – Choquequirao. Second San Pedro Ceremony. Visit to the archaeological site.
Hours walking: 1 – 2 hours.
7.30 am – Kundalini Kriya Yoga for the heart and to align with the four directions with Ria Kundalini.
9 am – Breakfast.
10 am – we begin our approximately two-hour hike to the Choquequirao archaeological park (3.033 m), where we will participate in an energy cleansing ceremony with local plants.
11 am – Second Wachuma (San Pedro) ceremony in Choquequirao lead by our Yachaq y curandero (shaman) William Huaman.
2 pm – We will then visit Choquequirao archaeological site accompanied by a guide who will provide information about the history and other features of the site, appreciating the residential, agricultural, and ceremonial areas. We will also see the ruins being excavated and, finally, unexplored areas. Afterward, we will have a moment to enjoy the entire sanctuary on our own. There will be no lunch today, you will fast during the plant medicine ceremonial time.
5 pm – Dinner.
Day 5: Yoga, rest and integration at Choquequirao.
7.30 am – Hatha yoga with sun salutations, for stretching, energy recovering and alignment with Ria Kundalini.
9 am – Breakfast.
10 am – Time to rest and relax and integrate the spiritual work.
12 am – Lunch.
2 pm – Visit to a few temples and a meditation.
5 pm – Dinner.
Day 6: Choquequirao – Maizal.
Hours walking: 7 hours.
6 am – Breakfast.
7 am – After breakfast, we leave to continue the journey to our next camp in Maizal. A three-hour hike leads us to the Pinchiunuyoc archaeological site. This place is something very special; its name means “water leaping forward.” The terraces that make up its structure were used for growing food, as in all sites built by the Incas. Here we will have our take-away lunch. Then, following a path through mountain forests, we will continue on a long and steep ascent to reach the Maizal camp (3.000 m), one of the most beautiful spots on the trek, with spectacular views of three different valleys and the peaks of the great snow-capped mountains of Occjoruro and Chamanayoc, right in front of us.
4 am – Kundalini Yoga and meditation for the healing, adjustment and empowerment of the heart with Ria Kundalini. Then, we will do a tribute of gratitude with William Huaman to the Apus Salkantay, Occjoruro, and Chamanayoc.
5 am. Dinner.
Day 7: Maizal – Yanama.
Hours walking: 5 hours.
7 am – Breakfast.
8 am – We will leave our Maizal camp after a group harmonization. We will have our take-away lunch at the San Juan pass (4.200 m) with a beautiful view of the
Choquetakarpo mountain. After lunch, we begin the descent to Yanama (3.530 m), a small isolated village at the bottom of a valley surrounded by mountains. This place has an indescribable beauty, tranquillity and calmness.
3.30 pm – Kundalini yoga for the spine and the kundalini energy with Ria Kundalini. Then, William Huaman will lead a payment of thanks to the Pachamama to guide us and protect us on it.
5 pm – Dinner.
Day 8: Yanama – Totora. Third San Pedro ceremony.
Hours walking: 5-6 hours.
7 am – Kundalini yoga for the lungs with Ria Kundalini.
8 am – Breakfast. During breakfast, we will share a moment of ten minutes to fraternize and meditate.
9 am – We will start our hiking from Yanama through the valley going up to the highest point of the trip, crossing the Yanama pass (4.600 m), where we will have a good scenic view of the Sacsarayoc snowy mountain.
11 am – Third Wachuma (San Pedro) ceremony lead by curandero William Huaman. There will be no lunch today, you will fast during the medicine ceremonial time. With the sacred medicine, we will walk down to our next camp in the community of Totora (3.200 m), where we will spend the night.
5 pm – Dinner.
Day 9: Totora – Hydroelectric – Aguas Calientes.
Hours walking: we will choose with the group if we will hike to the next destination (5 hours) or if we will go by train.
00 am – Kundalini yoga for the third eye and for the opening of your vision and perception with Ria Kundalini OR Hatha yoga with sun salutations, for stretching, recovering and alignment (we will choose together on the before day depending on how you feel and how you are integrating the hiking and the ceremonial work with the medicine).
9 am Breakfast.
10 am – After breakfast, we will leave Totora to reach an area called Hydroelectric, crossing different altitude floors where the change of vegetation cover is quite noticeable, passing from the high altitude forests to the humid forests of the high jungle. On the way, we will see small waterfalls and we will be able to observe – with a little luck and if we silently walk – a great variety of birds and vegetation, such as epiphytes and orchids. The change of climate is also noticeable because it feels warm and humid. We will have our take-away lunch on the way. Continuing on the road, we will arrive at the Hydroelectric Station (900 m) where we will board the train to Aguas Calientes (2.050 m), a town where we will be staying at a hotel.
5 pm – After a rest and a restful bath, we will enjoy dinner at a local vegetarian restaurant.
Night at our hotel in Aguas Calientes.
Day 10: Aguas Calientes – Machupicchu – Cusco.
Hours walking: two hours walk or bus to Machupicchu, at your choice.
5 am – After a short breakfast at the hotel, we will depart at around 5:00 am from Aguas Calientes to the sacred city of the Incas, Machupicchu. The hike will be done in the traditional way, along the Inca Trail, in a time of two hours. Upon arrival, our curandero (shaman) William Huaman will lead an offering of thanks and permission to enter the sanctuary of Machupicchu (2.430 m.), which will be our last ritual of thanks. We will enter to travel the wonder of the world accompanied by a tour guide and always accompanied by our spiritual guides for a time of two hours to know the most important details of the ancestral city. Then, you will have time to visit the complex on your own if you wish. You will have a take-away lunch on the journey.
In the afternoon, we will board the train back from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo station and a bus with final destination in the city of Cusco.
6 pm – Dinner at our hotel in Cusco.
Day 11: Leaving day.
7.00 am – Sun salutations, Kundalini yoga and meditation with Ria Kundalini.
9.am – Breakfast.
10.am – Check out and bus transportation to the airport.

What should I bring?
- Passport, visa and other traveling documents: check the status in your country.
- Sufficient cash for your extra needs (get Peruvian soles before leaving the airport or the city of Cusco).
- Comfortable hiking boots with ankle support, one extra pair of shoes or sandals.
- At least two pairs of hiking pants, a few shirts with long and short sleeves.
